Ginger, Lemon and Honey Tea

Recipe for Ginger and Honey Tea, a soothing drink that can help alleviate cold symptoms:

Ingredients:

 

  1. 2-inch piece of fresh ginger peeled and thinly sliced
  2. 4 cups of water
  3. 2 tablespoons of honey
  4. Juice of 1/2 a lemon

Optional: cinnamon stick or fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced ginger and water.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until the ginger has infused into the water.

Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the ginger out of the liquid.

Stir in the honey and lemon juice until the honey is dissolved.

Serve hot and garnish with a cinnamon stick or fresh mint leaves if desired.
